The Role

We are seeking a passionate Occupational Therapist to join our team. In this role, you will work closely with community members, helping them build confidence, independence, and improved quality of life through meaningful, client-centred care.

Key Responsibilities

Assessment & Planning

• Assess clients’ needs, goals, and daily challenges
• Identify barriers to independence
• Develop individualized, goal-oriented treatment plans
• Apply a holistic approach (physical, social, psychological, environmental)
• Collaborate with clients, families, and multidisciplinary teams

Treatment & Support

• Deliver therapy services in community settings
• Implement and adjust treatment plans based on progress
• Recommend and introduce assistive equipment where required
• Maintain accurate documentation and participate in case reviews

Rehabilitation & Environmental Support

• Design programs to rebuild skills and confidence
• Provide recommendations for home and workplace modifications
• Support clients in achieving meaningful, real-world outcomes

About You

Clinical Skills

• Experience assessing and managing a diverse caseload
• Strong understanding of evidence-based practice
• Experience with physical, cognitive, or mental health conditions (desirable)

Communication & Teamwork

• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team
• Strong documentation and organizational skills

Problem-Solving & Adaptability

• Ability to manage complex cases and adapt interventions
• Creative approach to overcoming barriers to independence

Client-Centered Approach

• Empathetic, compassionate, and respectful
• Passionate about improving client outcomes
• Strong advocacy for client wellbeing

Requirements

• Master’s degree in occupational therapy
• Relevant registration and certifications
• Valid driver’s license
