Occupational Therapist - Paediatrics

All of our team members are provided with an abundance of ongoing support and space to embed essential skills development. All clinicians who join our team, regardless of experience, take part in a structured onboarding program and a gradual progressive increase in case load.
Position Details: This position is for a part-time (3-4 days) or full-time permanent or contracting position, suitable for an Occupational Therapist with 1+ years experience.
You will be part of an existing multidisciplinary team including other OTs, speech pathologists, dietitians, counsellors and psychologists. Your caseload will be a mix of face to face and telehealth with the majority of sessions in our purpose-built clinic rooms. We also provide community based support on a case by case basis. You will have your own allocated room in the clinic and a computer/ laptop on site.
Your role would include:
- assessment of children with various presentations and support needs, utilising standard formal and informal measures
- individual or group therapy work including parent support and training
- liaison and collaboration with clients' extended formal and informal support team members such as other health professionals, teachers and support staff
- reporting, school visits, support of other team members based on experience.

Things you'll need to bring with you:
- At least 1 year experience as an OT
- Full registration with AHPRA
- Registration with Medicare (assistance provided)
- Current Working with Children's Check and NDIS Worker Screening Check
- Must have own Professional Indemnity Insurance
- Demonstrated skill in assessment, therapy and case management of children, adolescents and families (clinic placements considered)
- Demonstrated skill and experience in providing Occupational Therapy interventions (clinic placements considered)
- Strong record management, case note taking skills and ethical practice
- Demonstrated ability to engage clients effectively
- Willingness to learn/ understand the DIR model as this is what our team uses as a framework
- Ability to manage caseload independently but collaboratively in team environment
- Strong English language skills and ability to work in Australia
