Occupational Therapist – Rural NSW

Permanent Full-Time | $80,000–$90,000 + Super

Live Life Therapy is looking for an Occupational Therapist to join our growing rural practice based in Condobolin, NSW, supporting clients across Condobolin and surrounding rural communities.

This is a fantastic opportunity for an OT who enjoys variety, autonomy and the opportunity to make a genuine difference in communities where access to face-to-face occupational therapy is limited.

Our caseload is predominantly paediatric, with approximately 60% children, alongside a smaller adult NDIS caseload involving both physical and psychosocial disability. The role provides the opportunity to develop broad rural-generalist skills while still building your areas of clinical interest.

About the role

You will provide individualised, 1:1 occupational therapy in clients' homes, schools, early childhood settings and the community.

Clinical work may include:

• Paediatric assessment and intervention

• Functional Capacity Assessments

• Assistive Technology assessment and prescription, including mobility and low-cost AT

• Minor Home Modification assessments

• Capacity-building interventions

• Functional assessment and intervention for adults with physical and psychosocial disability

• Report writing and NDIS documentation

• Liaison with families, schools, support coordinators and other members of the participant's treating team

As a rural service, travel is an important part of the role. You will generally travel within Condobolin and surrounding communities, with some clients located approximately 1 hour away.

The role has an expectation of approximately 28 billable hours per week, with flexibility around how your working hours are structured across the week. Once this target has been achieved, any additional billable hours are paid on top of your base salary, providing the opportunity to increase your earnings while still maintaining a sustainable workload.

You will receive face-to-face initial supervision, ongoing clinical mentoring and regular supervision, with support to develop skills in areas including Functional Capacity Assessments, Assistive Technology, home modifications and report writing.

The position also includes:

• Salary of $80,000–$90,000 + super, depending on experience

• Flexible working hours, allowing you to structure your week around client needs and personal commitments

• Additional payment for billable hours completed above the 28-hour weekly target

About Live Life Therapy

Live Life Therapy is a growing occupational therapy practice servicing Condobolin and surrounding rural communities in Central West NSW.

Condobolin is a farming community of approximately 3,000 people and provides a central base for servicing a number of smaller communities where there is limited or no regular face-to-face occupational therapy available.

The position may particularly suit someone interested in rural living, including therapists with partners involved in farming or agriculture.
