Not every Occupational Therapist wants to provide ongoing therapy. Some love pulling together complex information, analysing functional performance, understanding what support a person really needs to live safely and independently, and translating that into clear, defensible clinical evidence.
That’s exactly who we’re looking for.
Verve OT is seeking experienced Occupational Therapists to join our team with a specific focus on NDIS Home & Living assessments.
Your caseload will primarily include:
- Functional Capacity Assessments (FCA)
- Supported Independent Living (SIL) assessments
- Specialist Disability Accommodation (SDA) assessments
- Individualised Living Options (ILO) assessments
- Other complex Home & Living assessments
These are often complex cases requiring you to look beyond a participant's diagnosis and clearly demonstrate their functional capacity, support needs, risks, informal supports, living environment and the evidence underpinning recommended support arrangements.
This isn't a generic community OT role
You won't be expected to provide ongoing therapy or carry a broad caseload covering a little bit of everything. We're specifically looking for OTs who enjoy assessment, clinical reasoning and report writing and want to develop genuine expertise in the NDIS Home & Living space.
You'll work with participants with complex support needs and collaborate with families, support coordinators, providers and other stakeholders to build a comprehensive picture of the participant's current and future Home & Living needs. For experienced clinicians, there are also opportunities to work on particularly complex matters, including Administrative Review Tribunal (ART) cases, medico-legal assessments and expert evidence.
