Occupational Therapist / Senior Occupational Therapist
Therapy That Helps Pty LtdThis is a mixed paediatric and adult NDIS occupational therapy role. The clinician will provide OT assessment and intervention for children and adult NDIS participants across home, school, kindy and community settings.
The paediatric caseload will mainly involve children aged 3–12 years, with a small number of adolescents. Sessions may occur at home, school, kindy, community settings or clinic, depending on client needs.
The adult caseload may include functional assessment, daily living skills support, capacity-building intervention, assistive technology recommendations, environmental assessment, community participation goals and report writing.
In addition to direct clinical work, the role includes professional communication and liaison with relevant organisations involved in adult OT services. This may include support coordinators, accommodation providers, community support organisations, medical and allied health professionals, and other key stakeholders. The purpose of this communication is to support referral coordination, information gathering, participant care, service planning and ongoing OT intervention.
Caseload composition can be discussed based on the clinician’s experience, clinical interest and supervision needs.
