Occupational Therapist – Melbourne, Flexible, Contractor Opportunity

We are a growing allied health and support services business providing care to clients under Support at Home and the NDIS. We are looking for experienced Occupational Therapists to join our team on a flexible contractor basis.

This is a great opportunity to earn additional income while working around your existing commitments. Our contractors are offered highly competitive remuneration and flexible hours, with the freedom to choose the referrals they wish to accept.

You can arrange appointments directly with clients at times that suit both you and the client, provided the client is happy with the proposed schedule.

Scope of Work

Depending on your experience, referrals may include:

• Initial OT assessments
• Low- and high-level Assistive Technology (AT)
• Basic and complex Home Modifications
• Scope of Works
• Equipment trials and recommendations
• Joint Builder Visits (JBV)
• Support letters and assessment reports
• Liaison with clients, families, support coordinators, builders and suppliers

You will have the independence to review each referral and decide whether to accept it based on your experience, availability and scope of practice.

We provide templates and documentation guidance to help streamline assessments and report writing.

Requirements

• Current AHPRA registration
• Relevant community, NDIS and/or Support at Home experience
• Experience with AT and/or Home Modifications
• Ability to work independently
• Valid Australian driver’s licence and access to a reliable vehicle
• Appropriate professional insurance
• Strong communication and report-writing skills
