Fantastic opportunity for an experienced and passionate Clinician to provide services to clients within the Newcastle-Hunter region alongside a successful, boutique local service. This position is suited to an OT who is clinically driven and enjoys building strong therapeutic relationships with participants, tailoring service provision to their unique needs. This service has a local reputation for outstanding quality with many referrers eager to engage further in service provision. There is no set billable requirement, simply an ask to be passionate about your work. In your role you will focus solely on your clinical service delivery as you will be provided with full administration support.

Their OT Director is an outstanding, warm individual who is passionate about making a difference whilst ensuring that his team is well looked after across all domains. You will be well-supported to provide clients with an outstanding service.

The Role:

• Undertake assessments - assessment of daily living capabilities and provide intervention with a focus on evidence-based practice.
• Major and minor home modification recommendations
• Prescription of equipment, assistive technologies and other therapy supports
• Liaison with family and other relevant stakeholders
• Providing treatment, guidance and education to individuals and their carers.
• Caseloads are tailored to interest and professional goals with a focus on adult or paediatric clients dependant upon your scope of practice

Requirements:

• Tertiary Qualification in Occupational Therapy (with upcoming or current AHPRA registration)
• A passion for facilitating and enabling meaningful outcomes for people with disability and their families
• Good written and verbal communication skills with the ability to build rapport with clients and families to ensure that therapy is fun and engaging.
• Experience working as an Occupational Therapist is essential
• Current driver’s license and car
• Working with Children Check, National Police Check, Children's First Aid training (or willingness to obtain these).
