As our Canberra team continues to grow, we're looking for an Occupational Therapist to join our friendly and supportive multidisciplinary team.

About the role

This is a great opportunity for an Occupational Therapist in the early stages of their career who wants to build their clinical skills across a varied NDIS and Aged Care caseload while having access to experienced clinicians, supervision and ongoing professional development.

You'll work with clients across a range of ages, disabilities and functional needs, providing a mix of assessment and ongoing therapy.

Services are delivered across our Belconnen clinic, in clients' homes and community environments, as well as via telehealth where appropriate.

We believe clinicians do their best work when they feel supported. You'll have access to regular clinical supervision, experienced senior OTs and a multidisciplinary team to discuss cases, develop your clinical reasoning and continue building confidence in your practice.

What you'll be doing

Depending on your experience and areas of interest, your caseload may include:

• Occupational Therapy assessment and intervention for NDIS and Aged Care clients.
• Functional Capacity Assessments and functional assessments.
• Home safety and Activities of Daily Living assessments.
• Assistive Technology assessment, trials and recommendations.
• Supporting clients to develop independence in everyday activities and routines.
• Capacity-building therapy linked to individual goals.
• Supporting clients with physical, neurological, developmental and psychosocial disabilities.
• Working collaboratively with families, carers, support coordinators, case managers and other health professionals.
• Developing individualised therapy plans with clear and measurable goals.
• Monitoring client progress using appropriate outcome measures.
• Preparing high-quality clinical reports and recommendations.
• Working collaboratively with our broader multidisciplinary team.

We don't expect you to know everything from day one. Your caseload will be developed in line with your experience, confidence and scope of practice, with support available as you take on more complex work.

About you

We're looking for an OT who is curious, compassionate and keen to continue developing their clinical skills.

You'll need:

• A recognised qualification in Occupational Therapy.
• Current AHPRA registration as an Occupational Therapist.
• Approximately 1–3 years' post-graduate experience preferred.
• An interest in working across the NDIS and Aged Care sectors.
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
• Good clinical reasoning and a willingness to continue learning.
• The ability to manage your caseload and documentation effectively.
• A collaborative approach and willingness to work as part of a multidisciplinary team.
• A current driver's licence and ability to travel locally for community-based appointments.

Experience within the NDIS or Aged Care is desirable, but we're also interested in hearing from OTs with transferable experience who are looking to develop in these areas.
